The NZ Open Source Awards are now accepting nominations and the College of Computing has thrown its hat into the ring once more. Our use of open source has extended beyond the year 13 course and we now have Year 10, Level 1 and Level 2 all using Ubuntu, designing using open source tools and for the odd open source project. Students can choose their tools as required by the projects and take more control over their work environment.

Events like this help us see we are part of something positive and valuable and we would like to take this opportunity to thank the organisers and sponsors for providing this excellent showcase of New Zealand talent.
